OUR STORY

Science-based products and experiences to TRANSFORM skin HEALTH and WELLBEING.

Made RESPONSIBLY by a COMMUNITY of restless EXPERIMENTERS.

We call this RADICAL BOTANY.

Wildsmith began with a walk in the Heckfield Estate arboretum. Planted by pioneering horticulturist, William Walker Wildsmith, in the 19th century. And now home to the Bothy – a wellbeing space curated and run by Wildsmith.

William's experimentation, innovation and radical approach were to key to the advances of botany in the 19th century.

And continue to encourage our team to remain curious. Embrace innovation. And seek new insights. As we strive to establish a new benchmark in responsible skin health and wellbeing.

THE HECKFIELD ESTATE

Spanning more than 400 acres in Hampshire, England, the Heckfield Estate is home to Wildsmith and our sister companies—Heckfield Place and the Heckfield Home Farm.

Originally created to supply amenity products for Heckfield Place and to curate the wellbeing offerings at The Bothy by Wildsmith, today, the estate serves as our living lab—a place of experimentation, inspiration and care, where our philosophy of interconnected wellbeing is continuously refined

In the tranquility of The Bothy, treatments are refined and perfected, in the market garden we grow, harvest and dry Calendula, Damask Roses, Roman Chamomile and Lavender in accordance with the Estates biodynamic principles.

And it is from our time spent learning and interacting wtih the land around us, that our desire to reconnect people with the rhythms of nature was born.

INSPIRED BY NATURE

Testament to nature’s quiet strength, the arboretum on the Heckfield Estate was established over 200 years ago. Today, it is home to the UK’s only biodynamic tree nursery, where William Wildsmith’s ancient trees are propagated for future generations.

As Wildsmith continues to grow and evolve, it is to this landscape that we return. Guided by the physiology of trees, our skincare is intentionally crafted to deliver the right ingredient, to the right area, at the right time, in the right dosage—mirroring the effortless precision of the natural world.

Most recently, the arboretum gave rise to Treescape, a bespoke immersive soundscape created in collaboration with award-winning sound artist Justin Wiggan. Designed to accompany our treatments, it translates the subtle signals of trees, soil and sky into a restorative auditory backdrop.

CIRCADIAN RHYTHM

At Wildsmith, we believe true wellbeing begins with reconnection; to self and to nature.

Just as our products are designed to deliver the right ingredient, to the right place, at the right time, our treatments are crafted to align with the body’s circadian rhythm—supporting its natural ebb and flow.

Morning sessions awaken and energise; evening experiences restore and repair. Essential oil blends are selected in harmony with the time of day, deepening presence and enhancing therapeutic effect.

Every touch is intentional, following a personalised wellbeing consultation that aligns the inner world with the outer one, ensuring each experience meets the body exactly where it is.

OUR HOME

THE BOTHY

Imagined and created to nurture and transform skin health and wellbeing, The Bothy, is our home and where the story of Wildsmith begins.

It is a space designed to return guests to a simpler time – a slower time – making room for deeper connections to ourselves, to each other and to our
natural surroundings.

Embodying our commitment to going beyond the treatment room, here we delve into the science of care, crafting a new approach that redefines the essence of wellbeing.
